After graduating from high school at 17, Lederman spent the following year working in service, first doing dolphin training in Hawaii and then doing work in Central America for a nonprofit organization that assists children with disabilities. [12] After returning to America, Lederman worked as an Easterseals camp counselor as well as in non-profit organizations that help children with disabilities like spina bifurcation or cerebral palsy. Lederman then enrolled at The College of Santa Fe. Lederman was a drinker while in college.
