Despacito is a song from 2017 made by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It became the top streamed and downloaded song in the world within the space of six months. A mix between pop music and Reggaeton was released in the year 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. It became the most-streamed at that period within a span of 6 months. In Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish and the year 2016 featured four. At the peak of the popularity of Despacito 19, 19 songs mostly in Spanish have made it into the Top 100. The year 2020 will see there will be 41 hits that fall into this category. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish version in 2017 shortly after which famous artists started working together with reggaeton groups. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny for the production of MIA (2018), while Madonna collaborated on Medellin with Maluma (2019). Some reggaeton artists lamented the trend towards mainstream music in the year 2020. A newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro, wanted to continue the development and growth of reggaeton. The incorporation of elements from electronic dance music, as well as other styles was a common procedure.
